Beau was ready to go to school with his cool camo nap mat (which he had practiced laying on the night before to see if it worked), he awesome Cars lunch box and he has a matching Cars backpack. He was ready to go, but as you can see, the passy was gonna go with him!!!
When we went to meet the teacher last week, Beau through a fit in the classroom wanting to go home, and was not happy about being there any longer. This was horribly upsetting to me. All he had talked about all summer long was going to school and how he could not wait. Now that we are there, he no longer wants to go, and I was really struggling about the decision of making him go. To make this transition easier, Steve took him alone and I stayed home. He cried for a few minutes Steve said, but after a few other kids came in crying, Beau stopped and went to play in the Home center. I only called once to check on him and the director said he was doing great and having a great time (without any tears!!)
Beau in his classroom after school-he had just woken up from his nap and I was amazed that he actually did take a nap!! At home we are having such a hard time getting him to take a nap that I was afraid he would give his teachers a hard time-but he is such a little parrot, that he just did what everyone else did and was such a good boy!!! Ms. Kristy said he had a great day!!!

He had a smile on his face after school and actually didn't want to leave. He loves his school and I am so proud of him. My fears of my little boy growing up have melted away and he is going to be just fine. It is hard to watch your babies grow up. I am just so glad this is the last one I have to do this with!
It has been a crazy week getting everyone off to school, and the girls have been so sweet this week and so worried about Beau. Anna would say a prayer every night that Beau would have fun at school and not cry. Aubrey was a little upset with me that I was going to make Beau go to school when he was so adamant about not going--they are very proud of him now as well!!! I have some great kids!
Thanks for the amazing dinner and great company. I'm glad I got to spend time with y'all. Hopefully we can stop by on Sunday. Love ya! Give the kids a hug from me.
